This covers Earth Stewards Enterprises LLC, doing business as NYC S.C.R.A.P.S. We collect the information needed to pick up your food scraps, weigh them, and bill you for it. We do not sell it and we do not trade it.
- Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
- Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.
- The messaging program consists of general customer care messaging to answer questions and provide support to customers. Messages will be sent from (718) 304-0363.
- You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text 'STOP' to the phone number from which you received messages. After you send the SMS message 'STOP' to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.

- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency will vary based on communication needs. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.

What we collect
When you sign up: your business name and type, a contact name, an email address, a phone number, the service address, the days and time window that suit you, and any access notes you give us so the Earth steward can reach the buckets. You can add further contacts at the site, with their name, title, email and phone.
From the service itself: the date and time of each stop, how many buckets were collected and delivered, what each one weighed, and any note or photo the Earth steward records at your door.
Photographs at your stop
A photo is taken when something needs evidence, which in practice means a readiness surcharge or an exception. It is a picture of the buckets and the staging area, it is stored with that pickup, and you can see every one of them on your own account. Only operations staff can add one.
Payment information
Card details are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor, and are held by Stripe. We store only the identifiers Stripe gives us so we can charge the card you authorised. Full card numbers are never stored on our systems and are not visible to us.
What we use it for
Running your route and getting to your door. Weighing and reporting what you diverted. Billing, invoicing and collections. Customer care, including the messaging program above. Nothing is used to build a profile of you for anybody else.
Who else touches it
Only the services that make the thing work: Stripe for payments, our email provider for the messages we send you, our hosting and database providers for keeping the records. They act on our instructions and for no purpose of their own. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own promotional or marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in and consent are excluded from every form of sharing, without exception.
Cookies
We set one cookie, to keep you signed in to your account. There are no advertising cookies on this site and no third-party analytics trackers.
How long we keep it
Service and billing records are kept while you are a customer and afterwards for as long as tax and business record-keeping require. Stop photos are kept with the pickup they document.
Your choices
You can see your account details, your pickups, your weights and your invoices by signing in. To correct something, to ask for a copy of what we hold, or to ask us to delete what we are not required to keep, email hello@nycscraps.com. To stop text messages, reply STOP, as above.
Children
This is a service for businesses and organizations. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top of the page. If a change is material to how we handle your information, we will tell you directly.
