Compost pickup in Brooklyn
Brooklyn is where the compost site is, which makes it the shortest trip we run. Everything we collect here goes to our community compost site in South Brooklyn, at the Marine Park Golf Course, and comes back out as soil for gardens, parks and street tree beds in the same borough it came from.
That is not a slogan about food miles. It is the reason the Brooklyn minimum is lower than the Manhattan one: less time on the road per stop, so the van pays for itself on a smaller load.
Most of our route is here, and most of our customers are the kind of business a Brooklyn block is made of: a cafe doing coffee and pastry, a full-service kitchen, a grocery, an office pantry over a storefront.

$25.00 a bucket collected, with a minimum per pickup of $75.00 in Brooklyn that covers sending the van at all. A bucket holds about 25 lbs. New York sales tax at 8.875% is added.
Nothing is charged at signup, there is no contract and no monthly minimum, and your card runs on the day of each pickup for the buckets actually collected. The full rate card.
