Abit about me: My name is Hillary Heidelberg, and I am the owner of NYCScraps.com. I live in New York City and started scrapbooking about 6 years ago after the birth of my first son. I absolutely LOVE scrapbooking, and wanted to share that passion with other women from around the world. I have a book that came out in January 2008 entitled Scrap Simple , and I was a Memory Makers Master for 2007. I have designed for We R Memory Keepers and Die Cuts with A View and have some exciting classes up my sleeve! Right now, I'm busy learning and exploring the world of digital scrapbooking, and am on the Creative Team for  The Lilypad . Please visit my blog to learn a bit more about me at http://hillaryheidelberg.typepad.com

My name is Sherry Steveson and I’ve been scrapbooking for 10 years and have been published in every major scrapbook magazines for the past 5 years. I finished writing my first scrapbook idea book published by Memory Makers in October 2008 entitled When Life Gives You Lemons; turning sour photos into sweet layouts can be found for pre-order on Amazon. I am currently writing my second book entitled The Scrapbookers Embellishment Handbook due Summer 2009.

My name is Doris Sander and I grew up on the gulf coast in beautiful, sunny Florida just six miles from the ocean.  After college, my dormant gypsy blood surfaced and I began my wanderings; I've lived in Guatemala, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Honduras.  My vagabond ways were tempered when the little guy came along.  Gabriel is my world and life is wonderful with him in it.  We're currently calling Tennessee home where I stay quite busy keeping up with Gabriel's social life, teaching English as a Second Language, and scrapping, of course.

I would describe my pages as structured freestyle; basically a hodgepodge of fun with a solid foundation.  I currently design for Jenni Bowlin Studio and American Crafts and have been published in Scrapbook Trends, Creating Keepsakes, BHG Scrapbooks Etc., Memory Makers, and Cards. You can visit my blog at http://sanderdk.typepad.com/

My name is Paula Gilarde, and I have been scrapbooking for almost 5 years - what started as a simple wedding album has turned into a full-blown obsession. I started with paper and discovered digital scrapbooking almost two years ago. I still switch back and forth between the two depending on my mood! I usually scrap 12x12 and I my style tends towards clean and simple. I'm happily married and have two children Molly, 4 and Tommy 2.5 who provide me with endless inspiration for my pages. I've been published in Simple Scrapbooks, BHG Scrapbooks Etc, Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends and various other scrapbooking idea books. I'm thrilled to have recently been named a winner of the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame.

Here's what some of our students have to say about nycscraps.com's signature One-in-48 Sketch Challenge Classes....join our newsletter to be the first to find out when registration for September's class is open!
I absolutely love this class! The sketches Hillary gives us are like nothing I have done before. It is so fun to have some different types of layouts in my scrapbooks and I am getting so many more layouts done!   -Erin

Even if you just want the sketches and don't have time to actively participate, the price is so low it's worth it...but if you participate in the on-topic and off-topic chats, the message board, the gallery, the feedback requests when you feel you need that extra bit of help, and all the other fantastic bits and pieces to the class, you'll almost feel guilty you didn't pay more! -Jen (aka RosieKat)
There are two 'events' that have made the largest impact on my ability to actually get completed layouts into my books-Stacy Julian's Big Picture approach and Hillary's 1 in 48 class. Thank you Hillary, for helping this complete left-brainer record her families memories like I promised myself I would. -Connie
